Feedback from the flexible programmes of tailor-made half day or whole day courses for support staff and governors, which include a mix of formal presentation, group and individual workshops and, where relevant, some carefully engineered role play.

Aspects that the delegates enjoyed were:

“open group discussions”    “role play”    “the presentation”

“looking at ways we work, understanding teams and teambuilding”

I am happy to provide details of schools that are willing to testify to the effectiveness of these training programmes.

“It was lovely meeting you last month and I think that we all feel a little more confident especially with our spending powers of DFC!”

Chair of Governors, Primary School, London

"Sue develops and delivers excellent training in a whole range of topics for education establishments. She is customer focused, inspires confidence and uses her expertise to provide solutions to issues raised. Delegates really enjoy her practical hands-on approach to problem solving and appreciate her in-depth subject knowledge."

Sharon Longden Training Director SfE Ltd.

“Sue worked closely with EduAction to support the key objective of schools self-management within the Local Education Authority’s Education Development Plan. Her presentations highlighted how effective budgeting supports curriculum targets and reinforced the link between the Budget Plan and the School Development Plan.

Sue clearly demonstrated not only a high level of knowledge of the budget planning process and budget management, but also provided numerous practical examples and techniques for schools to take away and use at their schools.

The materials that Sue provided were thought by course participants to be good or better. Her approach was professional and knowledgeable and she was able to explain finance in terms that school staff understood.

Overall, her training provided a good context for the more targeted internal training that followed and promoted a greater awareness and understanding by school staff of financial and resource management tasks.

Sue was always professional, helpful and friendly when dealing with schools and EduAction as the Client and provided a consistently high quality service which we would be happy to use again.”
